Amazon launches Export Central for European sellers

November 25, 2024

Amazon has recently introduced Export Central, a new platform that allows sellers to expand their international presence in 39 European countries with just three clicks. This innovative tool opens up new opportunities, enabling sellers to reach millions of customers, even in countries where Amazon does not have its own marketplace.

Thanks to Export Central, sellers do not need to duplicate listings or create new accounts. Those using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) are automatically enrolled in the program, while sellers in the Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) can easily configure international shipping settings. It is essential for MFN sellers to comply with VAT regulations in the destination countries, and enrolling in the Union One-Stop Shop (UOSS) system can simplify these requirements.

Part of a broader European export program, Export Central allows sellers to export from the six main stores: the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands (the latter limited to Belgium). This free program increases traffic and conversions on existing listings, offering significant growth opportunities.

According to Amazon, sellers who have enabled export from their European stores have seen an average sales increase of up to 10%. Export Central simplifies the expansion process, removing many traditional barriers to international expansion.
